MSc and PhD Opportunities in Palynology & Paleoecology at the University of Victoria, Canada

I am seeking MSc and PhD students to join my paleoecology lab in the Department of Biology at the University of Victoria. Research in my lab focuses on the paleoecological dynamics of forests since the last glaciation, wetland succession and carbon accumulation, and the development of paleoecological tools aimed at improving our ability to make ecological and environmental inferences about the past.
Funding for research and living expenses is available. Ideal candidates will have a solid background in palynology, paleoecology, plant ecology, or a related discipline, and excellent academic standing. Applicants for a PhD position must have a MSc degree or equivalent experience. Interested students should send a CV, unofficial university transcripts, and a brief statement of research interests to Terri Lacourse (tlacours[at]uvic[dot]ca). Information about graduate studies at the University of Victoria can be found at: www.uvic.ca/graduatestudies.
